Sorry for the lack of recent posts... I've been lazy. Uploading takes too long. I haven't been cooking because no one will eat it... those sorts of things... I'll have something soon. I promise. I have Christmas photos... Not as much as you would think because Christmas is about presents. Thanksgiving was about food.
The wontons in the front are shrimp and the ones in the back are pork. The red tinged meat is xa xiu and there are shrimp and napa cabbage. Underneath all that are clear noodles. I made the wonton dumplings myself. It's topped with fried red onions, scallions and cilantro. You can dress it with sate sauce and sriracha and a bit of lime. Yum!
I like to make food. I'm a home cook, not a fancy cook, with some education from mom and the rest from experimenting. My first cooking memory was frying eggs pre-school age. The first food "experiment" was around 7 or 8 y.o. and it involved frying ground beef with various spices. My siblings and I liked it, so it must've been a success. I make good tasting food and it's not always exactly pretty. The pictures are taken with a point and shoot and mostly in my kitchen. Read First Post if you wanna know why I started this blog.
